Break the Chains
As the Church simultaneously commemorates the Chains of St. Peter, the great Serbian luminary St. Sava, and Zacchaeus Sunday, Fr. Thomas reminds us that the upcoming Lenten season is a time for breaking the chains of our sins, our selfishness, and our secular overindulgence.
Rather, we must elevate ourselves like Zacchaeus who, in spite of his sin, sought to see and hear He who offers true and eternal life.
