Father Thomas reminds us that Christians should not be the same as the world. Further still, he exhorts us — after these recent months of upturned lives — to not be the same as we were before, when we so easily forgot the passing nature of worldly things. Rather, let us remember the promise of the Ascension: our imminent passing from this life, and our resurrection in Christ to the eternal Kingdom which shall not pass away.
A homily for the Sunday before Pentecost.
