Joy and Prayer in Times of Darkness and Uncertainty
In this homily for St. Thomas Sunday, Fr. Thomas recounts for us the spiritual environment in which the disciples found themselves following Christ's resurrection — a time filled with joy and hope, yet also anxiety and uncertainty. In much the same way, our own times are full of fear and spiritual oppression, and thus like the Apostles we too must abide in faith, deep prayer, and fellowship.
Yet no matter our anxiety or the oppression of our age, all lies in the shadow of Christ's resurrection and victory, His Pascha, of which we are so beautifully reminded every St. Thomas Sunday. For truly, Christ is risen!
